From the first World Cup weekend in late November to the last race in March, winter sport fills Nordic weekends. In 2027 the World Championships come to Falun.
The World Cup seasons run from late November to March, with most races on weekend mornings and early afternoons. The Nordic World Ski Championships take place in Falun from 24 February to 7 March 2027. Catch-up on the longer plans lets you watch a morning race in the evening.
Cross-country World Cup
The cross-country World Cup opens in late November and ends in March. Most races are on Saturdays and Sundays, often starting in the late morning Nordic time. The Tour de Ski, a stage race of several days around New Year, is the busiest stretch of the season.
Biathlon
The biathlon World Cup runs from late November or early December to March, with a World Championship in February. Races are short and decided at the shooting range, so a stable stream matters more than 4K.
Ski jumping
The ski jumping World Cup runs alongside the other disciplines, and its highlight is the Four Hills Tournament from late December to early January. Ski flying weekends close the season in March.
Falun 2027
The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships take place in Falun, Sweden, from 24 February to 7 March 2027, with cross-country skiing, ski jumping and Nordic combined. Falun is on Nordic time, so every race airs at a Nordic hour. Finnish viewers add one hour.

Alpine skiing
The alpine World Cup runs from late October to March. Slalom and giant slalom often have two runs, the second in the afternoon, so a morning at work does not mean missing the decision.
